A lot of steel pipe factories in Vietnam want to export their product to Malaysia. In fact, their product quality is so good and suitable for Malaysia market. But, with my experience, I saw that, there are some obstacles to the Vietnam steel pipe factories in SIRIM registration..
1. First, it is about the quality verification process. There are two methods of coated steel pipe production that are using pre-plated steel sheet and welded into tubes; or welded cold rolled steel sheet into tubes and coated by hot dip method.
The factories in Vietnam mainly buy cold rolled steel or aluminum and zinc-plated steel sheets from familiar partners in the domestic or from factories in the same system, so they often ignore the input quality control and only base on Mill Test of the input product to announce the quality of the finished product.
